camden yards

Saturday I headed to the Oriole's/Yankee's game.

 Lunch at the inner harbor
 the bro's
view from our seats
being at Camden yards, I seemed to forget how pretty it is there. I also found out you can buy standing room only tickets for much less than seats- something I would suggest next time you want to go to a baseball game on a budget. You can use those saved $'s on the $8 beers they have at the game. They must put gold in those beers. Which reminds me of the best part of the day....my brother Kevin and I made a drink run for a few of us, and as luck would have it the credit card machines went out the second we handed over our card. We got $30 worth of beers for free. When's the next time that will ever happen.

packed full weekend

it was a packed full weekend. The only thing it seemed to be missing was a little r&r.

Friday night, friends and I headed out in Georgetown here.

Saturday morning a much needed brunch was in order. We went to a place called, Commissary. It was delicious and well worth the short wait.

if you don't feel like waiting for a table, they have this "lounge" area in the middle of the tables. You can sit in the seats that seem to be a mix of a sofa and a middle school desk.
quote on the menu...
latte and goat cheese sun dried tomato omelet hit the spot...

Along the way a few things we stumbled upon...
i love red doors, especially on churches...
and this little guy waiting patiently outside of whole foods for his owner..

more weekend activities to come

my people

can't wait to spend a weekend with these gals....

 a throw back...

and this one too...
(more pictures of these guys to come after the weekend)

I can say that I have a handful (or maybe a little over ONE handful) of friends that have stood by me no matter what. Some I have been friends with since grade school, some high school, others college and sorority  brought us together, and one I can count as a high school and college friend/college roommate. They have stood by me as I have been going through the worst imaginable heartache a person can ever experience. I have been an absent friend and no matter what, each and every single one of them has only been nothing but amazing. No matter how lost I feel, when I think of these girls- I know these are the people that know me. They know who I am at my worst and at my best and they have decided to stick it out when I am worse than the worst they know. While distance is not the best factor in our friendship, these are my people. These are my people who I don't tell enough how much they mean to me. How much, even though it may not seem, I depend on them to push me on and help find meaning.

So I am looking forward to spending a weekend seeing a few of these people, while some will still be down south (and soon to be making their way up to me)....
