wedding weekend, the first night

Long overdue! My brother's wedding in September was an amazing couple of days. I was so happy to be a part of the wedding and gladly welcomed Amanda into our Family. I am grateful Brent fell in love with a person I can easily see as my sister (yes I know- selfish on my part), but most importantly grateful for the happiness they bring to each other.
I'll have to divide the pictures into two posts, but for now- the Rehersal Dinner

remember this project, I forgot I never shared the finished product

fall fest

looking forward to spending the night with good friends, eating amazing food (compliments my friend Ashley), and possibly getting into the halloween spirit carving pumpkins.
Think I'm wanting to mix it up this season.

LOVE this chevron pumpkin inspiration

wedding season is over

now that my mini marathon of weddings are over I am ready to get back into the groove of things.

first on the list- clean out my closet and get inspired by the colder weather headed our way.
Typically I am a huge color advocate, but this season I am loving the sleek look of black on black.

DIY table centerpieces

Taking inspiration from Pinterest to help out with table centerpieces for my Brent & Amanda's rehearsal dinner. Had a tough time deciding what to do that was simple enough but still pretty and classic.
some of the photos I sorted through...
ended up deciding on this one.

This was so simple...

1) find a glass jar/vase/bottle you want to use

2) measure the width of the desired amount of paint you would like. Use painters tape to tape around the vase

3) It takes about 3 coats of acrylic paint

the finished product...(excuse the fingerprints on the glass!)
can't wait to see it all come together
